Notably, it incorporates an additional inner ring designed to significantly enhance performance. This added feature ensures the gasket is impeccably centered on the flange face via an external guide ring. The inner ring plays a crucial role in safeguarding against potential implosion during installation, offering protection from extreme temperatures and media, and effectively filling voids between flanges to avert erosion. Additionally, it considerably diminishes the chances of failure. Crafted from the same premium alloy as the winding, the inner ring adheres to the DIN 2699 standard of Germany and complies with ASME B16.20 standards for PTFE fillers, while also being vital for graphite fillers. This profile is ideally suited for both raised and flat-faced flanges. The external ring provides exceptional radial strength, preventing blowouts and functioning as a compression stop.
