DOUBLE JACKETED GASKET
Metal jacketed gaskets are ingeniously crafted with a robust metallic outer layer that encloses a durable filler core. This metal casing provides exceptional protection against pressure, temperature, and corrosion, making it the ideal choice for demanding environments. Each gasket is meticulously handcrafted and available in an array of shapes and sizes, with a variety of metals and fillers to choose from. Custom internal rib configurations are also available to suit specific needs. These gaskets are predominantly utilized in heat exchanger applications and necessitate smooth and even flange surfaces paired with high bolt loads to achieve an optimal seal.
Single jacketed gaskets are designed with one metal-covered surface and both OD and ID enveloped by the metal jacket. They are perfectly suited for low-pressure valve and pump applications with narrow flange widths.
Double jacketed gaskets are fully encased within a robust two-piece metal jacket, covering OD, ID, and both sealing surfaces. They are extensively used in heat exchanger applications and are well-equipped for corrosive and high-temperature conditions.
Internal ribs, also known as pass partition bars, can be either integral or welded. In both forms, they ensure the primary seal remains intact and reliable.
APPLICATION
> Heat exchangers - Essential for maintaining efficiency in thermal management systems.
> Gas mains - Secure and dependable sealing solutions for gas distribution.
> Boiler and fuses - Reliable performance under high-pressure and high-temperature conditions.
> Pumps - Ensuring seamless operation in fluid management systems.
> Valve bonnets - Delivering leak-proof capabilities in valve assemblies.
Simple-shaped gaskets are perfect for pipeline flange sealing and internal-combustion machine surfaces, while complex-shaped gaskets excel in flange covers of heat exchangers. Generally, these gaskets range from 10-25 MM in width and 2MM-8MM in thickness, handling a maximum work pressure of 6-10Mpa.
Jackets are available in a diverse selection: soft iron, low carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel, copper, aluminum, brass, titanium, monel, and more, providing tailored solutions for various applications.
Fillers include expanded graphite, ceramic, PTFE, etc., offering optimal sealing performance and resilience.
The gasket thickness maintains a precision tolerance of (+0.03 inch, -0.000 inch) (+0.8mm, -0.0mm), ensuring consistent quality and fit.
(1). For gaskets ranging from NPS 1/2 to NPS 24, the outside and inside diameter tolerances are +0.06 inch, -0.0 inch (+1.5mm, -0.0mm), ensuring precise installation.
(2). There are no Class 400 flanges for NPS 1/2 through NPS 3. Instead, opt for Class 600 for enhanced compatibility.
(3). For NPS 1/2 through NPS 2-1/2, Class 600 flanges are unavailable. Utilize Class 1500 for superior performance.
(4). Note that Class 2500 is not available for NPS 14 and larger, ensuring optimal selection for high-demand applications.
