DOUBLE JACKETED GASKET
Metal jacketed gaskets are ingeniously crafted with a robust metallic outer shell that gracefully encases a durable filler material. These gaskets are indispensable in heat exchanger applications, though they demand impeccably even flange surfaces and substantial bolt loads to ensure an impeccable seal.
Single jacketed gaskets feature a unique design with one surface and both outer and inner diameters elegantly sheathed in a metal jacket. They are tailored for narrow flange widths, making them the ideal choice for low-pressure valve and pump applications.
Double jacketed gaskets offer comprehensive coverage with a two-piece metal jacket that envelops the outer diameter, inner diameter, and both sealing surfaces. They excel in heat exchanger applications and are perfectly suited for environments involving corrosive substances and elevated temperatures.
Internal ribs, such as pass partition bars, can be either integral or welded, ensuring that the primary seal remains consistently secure in all configurations.

For simpler geometries, these gaskets are adeptly applied to pipeline flanges and the sealing surfaces of internal-combustion machines. For more complex shapes, they excel in the flange covers of heat exchangers and more. Typically, these general gaskets are crafted with a width of 10-25 MM and a thickness ranging from 2MM to 8MM, capable of withstanding a maximum working pressure of 6-10Mpa.
Jackets are available in a selection of premium materials including soft iron, low carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel, copper, aluminium, brass, titanium, monel, and more.
Filler materials include expanded graphite, ceramic, PTFE, and others, chosen for their superior performance attributes.
The gasket thickness tolerance is precisely controlled at (+0.03 inch., -0.000 inch) (+0.8mm, -0.0mm), ensuring exacting standards.
(1). For gaskets NPS 1/2 through NPS 24, the outside and inside diameter tolerances are set at +0.06 inch, -0.0 inch (+1.5mm, -0.0mm);
(2). Note: There are no Class 400 flanges available for NPS 1/2 through NPS 3. Please use Class 600.
(3). Note: There are no Class 600 flanges available for NPS 1/2 through NPS 2-1/2. Please use Class 1500.
