Crafted from the same high-quality alloy as the winding, the inner ring meets the stringent DIN 2699 standards and is crucial for gaskets with PTFE fillers according to ASME B16.20, especially important for use with graphite fillers. Perfectly suited for raised and flat-faced flanges, the external guide ring provides exceptional radial strength, preventing gasket blowout and functioning as an efficient compression stop. Often constructed from carbon steel for corrosion resistance, the outer ring can also be customized with high-temperature alloys for demanding applications.
