DOUBLE JACKETED GASKET
Metal jacketed gaskets are an innovative blend of a thin metallic outer shell enveloping a flexible filler material. This robust design ensures that the metal casing shields the filler from pressure, temperature, and corrosion, offering unparalleled durability. Expertly handcrafted, these gaskets can be customized in an array of shapes and sizes, with the choice of various metals and fillers to cater to your specific needs. Internal ribs can be designed in any configuration to suit your requirements. These gaskets are indispensable in heat exchanger applications, although optimal performance necessitates uniformly smooth flange surfaces and high bolt loads to secure a reliable seal.
Single jacketed gaskets feature a design where one surface and both outer and inner diameters are sheathed by the metal jacket. Ideal for applications with narrow flange widths, they excel under low pressure in valve and pump settings.
Double jacketed gaskets are masterfully crafted to be entirely encased by a two-piece metal jacket that envelops the outer diameter, inner diameter, and both sealing surfaces. Renowned for their efficacy in heat exchanger applications, they are perfectly suited for corrosive environments and high-temperature conditions.
Internal ribs, also known as pass partition bars, can be either integral or welded. In both constructions, the primary seal is reliably upheld, ensuring a secure and enduring performance.
APPLICATION
> Heat exchangers
> Gas mains
> Boiler and fues
> Pumps.
> Valve bonnets
Gaskets with straightforward shapes are perfectly suited for pipeline flange applications and sealing surfaces of internal-combustion machines. Those with intricate designs are essential for the flange covers of heat exchangers, among other uses. Typically, general gaskets range from 10-25 MM in width and 2MM-8MM in thickness, capable of withstanding a maximum working pressure of 6-10Mpa.
Jackets: Choose from an array of materials like soft iron, low carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel, copper, aluminium, brass, titanium, and monel to meet your specific application needs.
Filler: Options include expanded graphite, ceramic, and PTFE, providing versatility and resilience in varying conditions.
The gasket thickness tolerance is finely controlled at (+0.03 inch., -0.000 inch) (+0.8mm, -0.0mm), ensuring precision and reliability.
(1). For gaskets NPS 1/2 through NPS 24, precise control of the outside and inside diameter tolerances is maintained at +0.06 inch, -0.0 inch (+1.5mm, -0.0mm).
(2). Class 400 flanges are not available for NPS 1/2 through NPS 3. It is advised to use Class 600 instead.
(3). Class 600 flanges are unavailable for NPS 1/2 through NPS 2-1/2. It is recommended to employ Class 1500 for these specifications.
(4). Note that Class 2500 is not applicable for NPS 14 and larger dimensions.
