DOUBLE JACKETED GASKET
Our finely crafted metal jacketed gaskets are engineered to perfection, featuring a durable thin metallic outer shell that expertly encases a resilient filler material. This innovative design provides unparalleled protection for the filler, granting exceptional resistance against pressure, extreme temperatures, and corrosion. Each gasket is meticulously handmade, available in a rich variety of shapes and sizes, with a superior selection of metals and fillers. Configurable internal ribs offer remarkable versatility. While indispensable for heat exchanger applications, they necessitate precision flange surfaces and substantial bolt loads to attain an optimal seal.
Single jacketed gaskets boast a single surface and are fully ensconced by a protective metal jacket covering both the OD and ID. Perfectly suited for narrow flange widths, they shine in low-pressure valve and pump applications.
Double jacketed gaskets are ingeniously engineered with a two-piece metal jacket that completely encapsulates the OD, ID, and both sealing surfaces. Predominantly used in heat exchanger applications, these gaskets adeptly manage corrosive and high-temperature environments.
Internal ribs, also known as pass partition bars, can be seamlessly integrated or expertly welded to ensure the primary seal remains uncompromised, regardless of configuration.
APPLICATION
> Heat exchangers
> Gas mains
> Boilers and flues
> Pumps
> Valve bonnets
Gaskets with straightforward designs are ideal for sealing pipeline flanges and the surfaces of internal-combustion machines. Those with intricate shapes excel when used on the flange covers of heat exchangers and similar applications. Typically, general gaskets measure 10-25 MM in width and 2MM-8MM in thickness. They are engineered to withstand maximum working pressures of 6-10Mpa, showcasing their versatility and reliability.
The jackets are crafted from an exquisite selection of high-quality materials, including soft iron, low carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel, copper, aluminium, brass, titanium, monel, and more.
The filler options encompass expanded graphite, ceramic, PTFE, and other robust materials.
The gasket thickness tolerance is meticulously set at (+0.03 inch, -0.000 inch) (+0.8mm, -0.0mm), ensuring adherence to the highest standards.
(1). For gaskets ranging from NPS 1/2 to NPS 24, the outside and inside diameter tolerances are expertly controlled at +0.06 inch, -0.0 inch (+1.5mm, -0.0mm);
(2). For NPS sizes 1/2 through 3, Class 400 flanges are not available, necessitating the use of Class 600 instead;
(3). For NPS sizes 1/2 through 2-1/2, Class 600 flanges are unavailable, requiring the use of Class 1500;
(4). Class 2500 is unavailable for NPS sizes 14 and larger.
