DOUBLE JACKETED GASKET
Metal jacketed gaskets are quintessential components crafted with precision, featuring a thin, robust metallic outer shell that securely encases a resilient filler material. This design ensures exceptional resistance against varying pressures, temperatures, and corrosive environments, safeguarding the integrity of the filler. Meticulously handcrafted, these gaskets are available in a myriad of shapes and sizes, with a diverse selection of metals and fillers to choose from. Tailored internal ribs of any configuration can be incorporated, enhancing versatility. Ideal for heat exchanger applications, these gaskets demand impeccably even flange surfaces and substantial bolt loads to guarantee an airtight seal.
Single jacketed gaskets feature a design where the metal jacket encompasses one surface along with both the outer and inner diameters. Perfectly suited for narrow flange widths, these gaskets excel in low-pressure valve and pump applications, delivering reliable performance.
Double jacketed gaskets boast a comprehensive enclosure provided by a dual-layer metal jacket that covers the outer diameter, inner diameter, and both sealing surfaces. These gaskets are highly favored for heat exchanger applications, offering excellent service in corrosive and high-temperature conditions.
Internal ribs, or pass partition bars, can be seamlessly integrated or welded, supporting both types in maintaining the primary seal with unwavering reliability.
APPLICATION
> Heat exchangers
> Gas mains
> Boiler and fues
> Pumps
> Valve bonnets
Gaskets with simple shapes are adept for pipeline flange and sealing surfaces in internal-combustion machines. Meanwhile, those with intricate designs fit seamlessly into the flange covers of heat exchangers, among other uses. Generally, these gaskets vary between 10-25 MM in width and 2MM-8MM in thickness, capable of enduring maximum working pressures ranging from 6-10Mpa.
Jackets are crafted from a variety of materials including soft iron, low carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel, copper, aluminum, brass, titanium, and monel, ensuring versatility and resilience.
Filler options include expanded graphite, ceramic, and PTFE, providing comprehensive solutions to meet diverse application needs.
The tolerance for gasket thickness is meticulously controlled at (+0.03 inch., -0.000 inch) (+0.8mm, -0.0mm), ensuring precision and consistency in performance.
(1). For gaskets spanning NPS 1/2 through NPS 24, the outside and inside diameter tolerances are strictly maintained at +0.06 inch, -0.0 inch (+1.5mm, -0.0mm).
(2). Please note, there are no Class 400 flanges available for NPS 1/2 through NPS 3. Instead, opt for Class 600.
(3). Similarly, Class 600 flanges are absent for NPS 1/2 through NPS 2-1/2. Class 1500 should be utilized in these cases.
(4). Furthermore, there are no Class 2500 flanges available for NPS 14 and larger sizes.
