To elevate its performance, an inner ring has been incorporated, allowing for precise centering on the flange face and safeguarding the gasket from extreme temperatures and harsh mediums. This inner ring also fills the void between flanges, preventing erosion and potential gasket implosions during installation. Manufactured in compliance with DIN 2699 standards, the inner ring matches the alloy of the winding. As per ASME B16.20 standards, inner rings are mandatory for gaskets with PTFE fillers and are highly recommended for graphite fillers. This profile is ideal for both raised and flat-faced flanges. The external guide ring enhances radial strength to avert gasket blowouts while also serving as a compression stop. Typically crafted from carbon steel for corrosion resistance, the outer ring can also be made from specialized alloys for high-temperature or severe medium environments.
