DOUBLE JACKETED GASKET
Our metal jacketed gaskets are expertly crafted to combine a thin, durable metallic outer shell with a resilient, high-performance filler material. This design ensures the filler is well-protected, offering exceptional resistance to pressure, high temperatures, and corrosive environments. Each metal jacketed gasket is meticulously handmade and available in a variety of shapes and sizes, featuring a diverse selection of metals and fillers. Custom internal ribs can be configured for specific needs. These gaskets are ideal for heat exchanger applications and require precision flange surfaces and substantial bolt loads to achieve optimal sealing efficiency.
Single jacketed gaskets are engineered with one surface and both the outer diameter (OD) and inner diameter (ID) securely enveloped by the metal jacket. These gaskets are perfect for applications with narrow flange widths and operate efficiently in low-pressure valve and pump scenarios.
Double jacketed gaskets provide comprehensive coverage with a robust two-piece metal jacket that protects OD, ID, and both sealing surfaces. These gaskets are extensively used in heat exchanger applications, and are well-suited for corrosive and high-temperature conditions.
Our innovative internal ribs, also known as pass partition bars, are available either as integral or welded components. In both configurations, they reliably maintain the primary seal, ensuring superior performance.
APPLICATION
> Heat exchangers
> Gas mains
> Boilers and furnaces
> Pumps
> Valve bonnets
For simpler gasket designs, they are widely utilized in pipeline flange applications and sealing surfaces of internal combustion machines. Complex shapes are employed for the flange covers of heat exchangers, and general gaskets range from 10-25 mm in width and 2-8 mm in thickness. They can sustain working pressures of up to 6-10 MPa.
Jackets: Our selection includes soft iron, low carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel, copper, aluminium, brass, titanium, monel, and more, providing versatile options for diverse applications.
Filler: We use premium materials such as expanded graphite, ceramic, and PTFE, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Our gasket thickness tolerance is precise at (+0.03 inch, -0.000 inch) or (+0.8 mm, -0.0 mm), ensuring consistent quality and performance.
(1). For gaskets ranging from NPS 1/2 through NPS 24, the outside and inside diameter tolerances are strictly maintained at +0.06 inch, -0.0 inch (+1.5 mm, -0.0 mm).
(2). Note: There are no Class 400 flanges available for NPS 1/2 through NPS 3. Instead, use Class 600 for these sizes.
(3). Note: There are no Class 600 flanges for NPS 1/2 through NPS 2-1/2. For these specifications, opt for Class 1500 flanges.
(4). Note: NPS 14 and larger sizes do not have Class 2500 flanges available.
