DOUBLE JACKETED GASKET
Our exquisitely crafted metal jacketed gaskets are designed with precision and care, featuring a robust thin metallic outer shell that securely encases a specially chosen resilient filler material. This pioneering design is masterful in offering the highest level of protection for the filler, providing extraordinary resistance to pressure, temperature, and corrosion. Each gasket is an artisanal masterpiece, meticulously handcrafted and available in an impressive variety of shapes and sizes, using a premium selection of metals and fillers. The innovative internal ribs can be customized for additional versatility. These indispensable gaskets are perfect for heat exchanger applications, though they necessitate precision flange surfaces and high bolt loads to deliver an optimal seal.
Single jacketed gaskets are elegantly engineered with one surface fully enveloped by a metal jacket, covering both the OD and ID. These gaskets are tailor-made for narrow flange widths found in low-pressure valve and pump applications.
Double jacketed gaskets are ingeniously crafted with a two-piece metal jacket that thoroughly encapsulates the OD, ID, and both sealing surfaces. These gaskets are predominantly utilized in heat exchanger applications and are adeptly suited for handling corrosive and high-temperature environments.
Internal ribs, or pass partition bars, can be seamlessly integrated or expertly welded into the design, ensuring that the primary seal remains uncompromised in both configurations.
APPLICATION
> Heat exchangers
> Gas mains
> Boilers and fumes
> Pumps
> Valve bonnets
Gaskets with straightforward designs are ideal for pipeline flanges and sealing surfaces of internal-combustion machines, while those with intricate shapes excel in the flange covers of heat exchangers and similar applications. Typically, general gaskets span 10-25 MM in width and 2MM-8MM in thickness, and are engineered to withstand maximum working pressures of 6-10Mpa, ensuring versatility and reliability.
Jackets are manufactured from an array of high-quality materials including soft iron, low carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel, copper, aluminum, brass, titanium, monel, and more, each chosen for its superior performance.
The filler options include expanded graphite, ceramic, PTFE, and other resilient materials, each selected for its exceptional durability and adaptability.
The gasket thickness tolerance is precisely defined at (+0.03 inch, -0.000 inch) (+0.8mm, -0.0mm), reflecting our commitment to exacting standards.
(1). For gaskets ranging from NPS 1/2 to NPS 24, the outside and inside diameter tolerances are meticulously controlled at +0.06 inch, -0.0 inch (+1.5mm, -0.0mm);
(2). For NPS sizes 1/2 through 3, Class 400 flanges are not available, requiring the use of Class 600 instead;
(3). For NPS sizes 1/2 through 2-1/2, Class 600 flanges are not available, necessitating the use of Class 1500;
(4). Class 2500 is not available for NPS sizes 14 and larger.
