DOUBLE JACKETED GASKET
Crafted with precision, metal jacketed gaskets boast a thin metallic outer shell that elegantly encases a resilient filler material. This robust metal case is designed to withstand pressure, temperature, and corrosion, ensuring unmatched durability. Available in a multitude of shapes and sizes, and offering a selection of metals and fillers, these hand-made gaskets are versatile for various applications. Featuring customizable internal ribs, these gaskets excel in heat exchanger environments, where flawless and even flange surfaces, coupled with high bolt loads, are essential for an effective seal.
Single jacketed gaskets present a design where one surface, along with both the outer diameter (OD) and inner diameter (ID), is enveloped by the metal jacket. Perfectly suited for narrow flange widths in low-pressure scenarios like valve and pump applications.
Embodying excellence, double jacketed gaskets are entirely enclosed within a two-piece metal jacket, effectively covering the OD, ID, and both sealing surfaces. They are predominantly utilized in heat exchanger applications and are ideal for environments subject to corrosive and high-temperature conditions.
Innovative internal ribs, or pass partition bars, are available either as integral or welded features. Regardless of the type, the primary seal remains robustly intact.
APPLICATION
> Heat exchangers
> Gas mains
> Boilers and flues
> Pumps
> Valve bonnets
Gaskets with simple geometries are perfect for pipeline flange and sealing surfaces in internal-combustion machines. Meanwhile, those with intricate designs excel in flange covers for heat exchangers, among others. Standard gaskets range from 10-25 MM in width and 2MM-8MM in thickness, withstanding a maximum working pressure of 6-10Mpa.
Jackets: Choose from a variety of metals such as soft iron, low carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel, copper, aluminium, brass, titanium, monel, and more.
Filler: Options include expanded graphite, ceramic, PTFE, among others for enhanced performance.
The gasket thickness tolerance is precisely set at (+0.03 inch., -0.000 inch) or (+0.8mm, -0.0mm), ensuring exact specifications.
(1). For gaskets NPS 1/2 through NPS 24, the outside and inside diameter tolerances are maintained at +0.06 inch, -0.0 inch (+1.5mm, -0.0mm);
(2). Note: There are no Class 400 flanges for NPS 1/2 through NPS 3. For these, Class 600 is recommended.
(3). For NPS 1/2 through NPS 2-1/2, Class 600 flanges are not available. Please use Class 1500 instead.
(4). For sizes NPS 14 and larger, Class 2500 flanges are unavailable.
