DOUBLE JACKETED GASKET
Crafted with excellence, metal jacketed gaskets feature a robust metallic outer shell encapsulating a resilient filler material. The durable metal casing offers superior protection to the resilient filler, showcasing exceptional resistance to pressure, temperature, and corrosion. These precision-crafted gaskets are available in an array of shapes and sizes with a variety of metal and filler selections. They even offer customizable internal ribs of any configuration. Ideally suited for heat exchanger applications, these gaskets necessitate impeccable flange surfaces and substantial bolt loads to achieve an optimal seal.
Single jacketed gaskets are ingeniously designed with one surface and both the outer diameter (OD) and inner diameter (ID) enveloped by a robust metal jacket. They are particularly suitable for narrow flange widths in low-pressure valve or pump settings.
Double jacketed gaskets are meticulously crafted to be fully enclosed by a two-piece metal jacket, covering the OD, ID, and both sealing surfaces. These are extensively utilized in heat exchanger applications and are perfectly suited for environments characterized by corrosion and high temperatures.
Internal ribs, also known as pass partition bars, can be crafted integrally or through welding. In both instances, the primary seal integrity is effectively maintained.
APPLICATION
> Perfect for Heat exchangers
> Ideal for Gas main applications
> Efficient for Boilers and fues
> Reliable for Pumps
> Essential for Valve bonnet applications
Gaskets with straightforward shapes are adeptly applied in pipeline flange and sealing surfaces of internal-combustion machines. Meanwhile, those with intricate designs are suited for the flange covers of heat exchangers, among others. Generally, these gaskets boast a width of 10-25 MM and a thickness of 2MM-8MM, capable of withstanding a maximum working pressure of 6-10Mpa.
Jackets: Expertly crafted from soft iron, low carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel, copper, aluminium, brass, titanium, monel, and more.
Filler: Comprised of expanded graphite, ceramic, PTFE, and more, each chosen for optimal performance.
The gasket thickness tolerance is meticulously maintained at (+0.03 inch., -0.000 inch) (+0.8mm, -0.0mm) to ensure exacting standards.
(1). For gaskets ranging from NPS 1/2 through NPS 24, the outside and inside diameter tolerances are kept to +0.06 inch, -0.0 inch (+1.5mm, -0.0mm);
(2). Note: There are no Class 400 flanges for NPS 1/2 through NPS 3, hence Class 600 is used;
(3). Important: No Class 600 flanges exist for NPS 1/2 through NPS 2-1/2, Class 1500 should be used instead;
(4). Please be aware, there are no Class 2500 flanges for NPS 14 and larger.
