XS-G3080 PURE PTFE GASKET
Our Virgin grade PTFE gaskets are meticulously crafted from 100% pure material, making them ideal for a vast array of general applications. Renowned for their exceptional softness and formability, these gaskets are frequently employed as chemical-resistant seals.
Uniquely produced directly from the resin manufacturer, these gaskets have never been processed into a shape, which ensures the highest levels of physical and electrical insulation properties. Additionally, they boast increased resistance to creep (compression) under load, easily identifiable by their pristine white color when contrasted with mechanical grade PTFE.
PTFE gaskets are engineered from a synthetic fluoropolymer of tetrafluoroethylene, composed solely of carbon and fluorine. Their intrinsic hydrophobic nature (repelling water and water-based substances) and one of the lowest coefficients of friction against any solid make them unparalleled in performance.
With its remarkable dielectric properties and superior thermal insulation, PTFE performs outstandingly within a temperature spectrum from -200°C to 260°C. As the most chemically resistant plastic known, it remains unaffected by most corrosive liquids, vapors, and gases, ensuring reliable performance across diverse conditions.
