DOUBLE JACKETED GASKET
Our exquisitely engineered metal jacketed gaskets come with a robust thin metallic outer shell enveloping a resilient filler. This groundbreaking design assures optimal protection for the filler, delivering remarkable resistance against pressure, temperature, and corrosion. Each gasket is meticulously crafted by hand and available in a vast variety of shapes and sizes, with an exclusive range of metals and fillers. Configurable internal ribs add unparalleled versatility. These gaskets are indispensable for heat exchanger applications, although they require precision flange surfaces and high bolt loads to attain a superior seal.
Single jacketed gaskets, featuring one surface entirely cloaked by a metal jacket covering both the OD and ID, are perfectly suited for narrow flange widths in low-pressure valve and pump applications. Their design ensures reliable performance under specific conditions.
Double jacketed gaskets boast a two-piece metal jacket design that fully encompasses the OD, ID, and both sealing surfaces. Predominantly utilized in heat exchanger applications, these gaskets adeptly manage corrosive and high-temperature environments, ensuring enduring performance.
Internal ribs, or pass partition bars, can be seamlessly integrated or expertly welded to maintain an uncompromised primary seal in all configurations, ensuring reliability and robustness.
APPLICATION
> Heat exchangers
> Gas mains
> Boiler and fues
> Pumps.
> Valve bonnets
Gaskets with straightforward designs are ideal for pipeline flanges and sealing surfaces of internal-combustion machines. Those with intricate shapes excel in flange covers of heat exchangers and similar applications. Typically, general gaskets range from 10-25 MM in width and 2MM-8MM in thickness, withstanding maximum working pressures of 6-10Mpa, making them both versatile and highly dependable.
Jackets are crafted from an exquisite selection of high-quality materials including soft iron, low carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel, copper, aluminium, brass, titanium, monel, and more, ensuring durability and top performance.
The filler options boast a diverse range, including expanded graphite, ceramic, PTFE, and other resilient materials, ensuring adaptability and robustness in various applications.
The gasket thickness tolerance is set to precise standards at (+0.03 inch., -0.000 inch) (+0.8mm, -0.0mm), meeting exacting quality requirements.
(1). For gaskets ranging from NPS 1/2 to NPS 24, the outside and inside diameter tolerances are meticulously controlled at +0.06 inch, -0.0 inch (+1.5mm, -0.0mm); ensuring precision.
(2). For NPS sizes 1/2 through 3, Class 400 flanges are unavailable, therefore Class 600 is used; ensuring compatibility and performance.
(3). For NPS sizes 1/2 through 2-1/2, Class 600 flanges do not exist, thus Class 1500 is employed; ensuring stability and reliability.
(4). Class 2500 is unavailable for NPS sizes 14 and larger, requiring alternative solutions.
