DOUBLE JACKETED GASKET
Our exquisitely crafted metal jacketed gaskets are meticulously engineered with a robust, thin metallic outer shell that elegantly encases a resilient filler material. This innovative design ensures unparalleled protection for the filler, offering outstanding resistance to extreme pressure, high temperatures, and corrosive environments. Each gasket is painstakingly handmade, available in a diverse selection of shapes and sizes, with an exclusive range of premium metals and top-tier fillers. Configurable internal ribs provide additional versatility. These indispensable gaskets are perfect for heat exchanger applications, though they require precision flange surfaces and high bolt loads to achieve an optimal seal.
Single jacketed gaskets boast a design where one surface is completely enveloped by a metal jacket that covers both the OD and ID. They are ideal for narrow flange widths, specifically in low-pressure valve and pump applications.
Double jacketed gaskets boast an ingenious design with a two-piece metal jacket that fully encapsulates the OD, ID, and both sealing surfaces. These gaskets are predominantly utilized in heat exchanger applications, adeptly handling corrosive environments and high-temperature conditions with finesse.
Internal ribs, or pass partition bars, can be seamlessly integrated or expertly welded, ensuring the primary seal remains uncompromised in both configurations, thus enhancing performance and reliability.
APPLICATION
> Heat exchangers
> Gas mains
> Boiler and fues
> Pumps
> Valve bonnets
Gaskets with straightforward designs are perfect for pipeline flanges and sealing surfaces of internal-combustion machines. Those with intricate shapes excel in flange covers of heat exchangers and similar applications. Typically, general gaskets span 10-25 MM in width and 2MM-8MM in thickness, expertly withstanding maximum working pressures of 6-10Mpa, making them versatile and reliable under demanding conditions.
Jackets are crafted from an elite selection of high-quality materials including soft iron, low carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel, copper, aluminium, brass, titanium, monel, and more, offering robustness and longevity.
The filler options include expanded graphite, ceramic, PTFE, and other resilient materials, each chosen for their superior performance characteristics.
The gasket thickness tolerance is precisely set at (+0.03 inch., -0.000 inch) (+0.8mm, -0.0mm), adhering to exacting standards for unmatched precision.
(1). For gaskets ranging from NPS 1/2 to NPS 24, the outside and inside diameter tolerances are meticulously controlled at +0.06 inch, -0.0 inch (+1.5mm, -0.0mm), ensuring consistency and reliability;
(2). For NPS sizes 1/2 through 3, Class 400 flanges are unavailable, necessitating the use of Class 600 instead, accommodating higher pressure environments;
(3). For NPS sizes 1/2 through 2-1/2, Class 600 flanges do not exist, necessitating the use of Class 1500, suitable for more demanding applications;
(4). Class 2500 is unavailable for NPS sizes 14 and larger, highlighting the need for alternative solutions in high-pressure scenarios.
