DOUBLE JACKETED GASKET
Our exquisitely crafted metal jacketed gaskets boast a formidable thin metallic outer shell, wrapping around a resilient filler material. This cutting-edge design provides unparalleled protection for the filler, ensuring remarkable resistance to pressure, temperature, and corrosion. Each gasket is painstakingly handmade, available in a wide variety of shapes and sizes, utilizing a superior selection of metals and fillers. Customizable internal ribs add further adaptability, making these gaskets essential for heat exchanger applications where precision flange surfaces and elevated bolt loads are necessary to achieve the perfect seal.
Single jacketed gaskets are distinguished by a single surface, entirely encased by a metal jacket covering both the outer diameter and inner diameter. They are the perfect choice for narrow flange widths in low-pressure valve and pump applications.
Double jacketed gaskets feature an ingenious two-piece metal jacket design, fully encapsulating the outer and inner diameters, along with both sealing surfaces. They are predominantly used in heat exchanger applications, excelling in corrosive and high-temperature environments.
Internal ribs, also known as pass partition bars, can be seamlessly integrated or expertly welded, ensuring that the primary seal remains uncompromised in any configuration.
APPLICATION
> Heat exchangers
> Gas mains
> Boiler and fues
> Pumps.
> Valve bonnets
Gaskets with straightforward designs are ideal for pipeline flanges and sealing surfaces of internal-combustion machines. Those with more intricate shapes excel in flange covers of heat exchangers and similar applications. Typically, general gaskets measure between 10-25 MM in width and 2-8 MM in thickness and can withstand maximum working pressures of 6-10 Mpa, offering both versatility and dependability.
Jackets are meticulously crafted from a premium selection of materials including soft iron, low carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel, copper, aluminum, brass, titanium, monel, and more.
The filler options include expanded graphite, ceramic, PTFE, and other resilient materials, each selected for its superior durability.
The gasket thickness tolerance is set with precision at (+0.03 inch, -0.000 inch) (+0.8 mm, -0.0 mm), ensuring unrivaled standards of accuracy.
(1). For gaskets ranging from NPS 1/2 to NPS 24, the outside and inside diameter tolerances are rigorously controlled at +0.06 inch, -0.0 inch (+1.5 mm, -0.0 mm);
(2). For NPS sizes 1/2 through 3, Class 400 flanges are not available, requiring the utilization of Class 600 instead;
(3). For NPS sizes 1/2 through 2-1/2, Class 600 flanges do not exist, necessitating the use of Class 1500;
(4). Class 2500 is not available for NPS sizes 14 and larger.
