DOUBLE JACKETED GASKET
These masterfully crafted metal jacketed gaskets feature a robust metallic outer shell that envelops a resilient filler, delivering an exceptional blend of durability and protection. The metal case acts as a guardian, shielding the filler from pressure, temperature, and corrosive elements. Expertly handmade, these gaskets are customizable in a myriad of shapes and sizes, with a diverse selection of metals and fillers to match specific needs. Designed with versatile internal ribs, these gaskets are a staple in heat exchanger applications, necessitating uniform flange surfaces and high bolt loads to achieve optimal sealing performance.
Single jacketed gaskets are ingeniously designed with one surface, and both the outer and inner diameters are encased by a durable metal jacket. They perfectly suit narrow flange widths, ideal for low-pressure valve and pump applications, offering reliable performance and ease of use.
Double jacketed gaskets offer full coverage with a robust two-piece metal jacket encapsulating the outer diameter, inner diameter, and both sealing surfaces. Ideal for heat exchanger applications, they excel in corrosive and high-temperature environments, ensuring confidence and reliability in demanding conditions.
With internal ribs that can be either integral or welded, these gaskets maintain an unwavering primary seal, providing unmatched security in both configurations.
APPLICATION
> Heat exchangers: Essential for optimizing heat transfer efficiency.
> Gas mains: Safeguard against leaks in critical gas transportation systems.
> Boiler and fues: Ensure reliable sealing in high-temperature environments.
> Pumps: Delivering dependable sealing in various pump systems.
> Valve bonnets: Perfect for maintaining integrity in valve assemblies.
Gaskets with simple geometric configurations are ideal for pipeline flanges and internal-combustion machine sealing surfaces. More complex shapes are tailored for heat exchanger flange covers. Typically, general gaskets range from 10-25 MM in width and 2MM-8MM in thickness, accommodating a maximum work pressure of 6-10Mpa, tailored for diverse industrial needs.
Jackets: Including a variety of materials such as soft iron, low carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel, copper, aluminium, brass, titanium, and monel, offering versatile options to meet specific application requirements.
Filler: Comprising robust and adaptable materials like expanded graphite, ceramic, and PTFE, ensuring superior performance under various conditions.
The gasket thickness is precisely controlled with a tolerance of (+0.03 inch, -0.000 inch) or (+0.8mm, -0.0mm), ensuring reliable and consistent performance.
(1). For gaskets ranging from NPS 1/2 through NPS 24, the meticulous outside and inside diameter tolerances are maintained at +0.06 inch, -0.0 inch (+1.5mm, -0.0mm);
(2). Note that there are no Class 400 flanges available from NPS 1/2 through NPS 3. Class 600 is recommended for these sizes;
(3). For NPS 1/2 through NPS 2-1/2, there are no Class 600 flanges. Instead, Class 1500 is advised;
(4). Notably, Class 2500 flanges are unavailable for sizes NPS 14 and larger.
