With an additional inner ring meticulously integrated, this gasket showcases enhanced performance, precision-fit on flange faces, and superior protection. The inner ring is engineered to prevent gasket implosion during installation, safeguard the sealing element from extreme temperatures and harsh mediums, and fill voids between flanges to curb flange erosion. It's your assurance against failures. This inner ring is typically matched in alloy with the winding, following the DIN 2699 standards. Mandatory for gaskets with PTFE fillers per ASME B16.20, it’s also invaluable for those with graphite fillers, making it the ideal choice for both raised and flat-faced flanges. The external guide ring lends added radial strength, preventing blowouts and serving as a failsafe compression stop. Normally constructed from carbon steel, which may be painted or zinc-plated for corrosion resistance, it can also be tailored from alloys to meet higher temperature demands and more severe application conditions.
