Our Virgin Grade PTFE Gaskets are crafted from 100% pure materials, expertly designed for a broad spectrum of general applications. These gaskets are exceptionally soft and adaptable, making them ideal for creating chemical-resistant seals and gaskets.
Produced directly from resin, this virgin grade PTFE has never been pre-formed into any shape. It offers unparalleled physical and electrical insulation properties, coupled with heightened resistance to compression under load. Its distinctive whiter hue differentiates it from the mechanical grade PTFE.
Comprised entirely of carbon and fluorine, PTFE gaskets are constructed from a synthetic fluoropolymer of tetrafluoroethylene. This material is naturally hydrophobic, repelling water and aqueous substances, and boasts one of the lowest friction coefficients among solids.
PTFE stands out with its superior dielectric properties, delivering unmatched thermal insulation across a wide temperature range of -200°C to 260°C. Known as the most chemically resilient plastic, PTFE remains unaffected by most corrosive liquids, vapors, and gases.
