To further elevate its performance, an inner ring is integrated, ensuring precise centering on the flange face. This design prevents the gasket from imploding during installation, shields the sealing element from harsh temperatures and media, and fills any void between flanges to safeguard against flange erosion, significantly reducing the risk of failure. Our inner ring harmonizes with the winding, crafted from the same alloy, adhering to the DIN 2699 German standard, mandating their use. Particularly, for gaskets with PTFE fillers, inner rings are a necessity under ASME B16.20 standards, and are highly recommended for graphite fillers. This sophisticated profile excels in both raised and flat faced flanges. The external ring fortifies the gasket with additional radial strength, acting as a compression stop to prevent blowouts. Typically, the outer ring is fashioned from carbon steel, either painted or zinc-plated for corrosion resistance, yet can also be crafted from alloys for high-temperature and aggressive media scenarios.
