The strategically added inner ring not only fortifies against implosion during installation but also shields the sealing element from extreme conditions and corrosive mediums. It adeptly fills flange voids to prevent erosion, significantly reducing failure risks. The inner ring, crafted from the same high-quality alloy as the winding, adheres to the esteemed DIN 2699 German standard. For gaskets with PTFE filler, inner rings are mandatory per ASME B16.20 standards and are crucial for graphite fillers.
