An inner ring has been meticulously inserted to significantly elevate gasket performance by ensuring precise centering on the flange face with an external guide ring. This strategic addition of the inner ring is pivotal in safeguarding against implosion into the pipe during installation, while offering protection from extreme temperatures and varying mediums. It skillfully fills the void between flanges to prevent flange erosion and minimizes the risk of failure. Composed of the same alloy as the winding, the inner ring aligns with DIN 2699 standards, mandatory for all spiral wound gaskets. For gaskets with PTFE filler, the ASME B16.20 standards necessitate inner rings, which are also advantageous for graphite fillers. Perfect for raised and flat faced flanges, the external ring enhances radial strength to avert gasket blowout, serving also as a compression stop. Typically made from carbon steel for corrosion resistance, with options for alloy construction in high-temperature or severe applications, the outer ring adapts to your specific needs.
