Crafted typically from the same durable alloy as the winding, the inner ring adheres to the stringent German DIN 2699 standard, mandating its presence in all spiral wound gaskets. According to the ASME B16.20 standards, inner rings are indispensable for gaskets with PTFE fillers, and are highly recommended for those with graphite fillers. This superior profile is ideally suited for raised and flat-faced flanges.
