DOUBLE JACKETED GASKET
Our masterfully engineered metal jacketed gaskets boast a superbly constructed thin metallic outer casing that carefully envelops a durable filler material. This cutting-edge design not only safeguards the filler but also provides remarkable resistance to pressure, temperature, and corrosion. Each gasket is painstakingly handcrafted, offered in a wide spectrum of shapes and sizes, featuring a top-tier selection of metals and fillers. The addition of customizable internal ribs enhances versatility, making these gaskets indispensable for heat exchanger applications. To achieve an optimal seal, precision flange surfaces and high bolt loads are essential.
Single jacketed gaskets possess one sealing surface and are entirely cloaked by a metal jacket that covers both the outer diameter (OD) and inner diameter (ID). These gaskets are perfect for narrow flange widths found in low-pressure valve and pump applications.
Double jacketed gaskets showcase an ingenious two-piece metal jacket that completely encases the outer diameter (OD), inner diameter (ID), and both sealing surfaces. They are primarily used in heat exchanger applications and excel in corrosive and high-temperature environments, demonstrating exceptional durability.
Internal ribs, also known as pass partition bars, can be seamlessly integrated or expertly welded to ensure that the primary seal remains uncompromised in both configurations, providing superior sealing performance.
APPLICATION
> Heat exchangers
> Gas mains
> Boilers and fuells
> Pumps.
> Valve bonnets
Gaskets with straightforward designs are ideally suited for pipeline flanges and sealing surfaces of internal combustion machines. Those with intricate shapes excel in the flange covers of heat exchangers and similar applications. Generally, standard gaskets span 10-25 MM in width and 2MM-8MM in thickness, capable of withstanding maximum working pressures of 6-10Mpa, which makes them both versatile and reliable in a variety of settings.
The jackets are crafted from an array of high-quality materials such as soft iron, low carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel, copper, aluminum, brass, titanium, monel, and more, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
The filler options are diverse, including expanded graphite, ceramic, PTFE, and other resilient materials, allowing customization for specific needs.
The gasket thickness tolerance is meticulously defined at (+0.03 inch, -0.000 inch) (+0.8mm, -0.0mm), adhering to exacting standards for precision.
(1). For gaskets ranging from NPS 1/2 to NPS 24, the outside and inside diameter tolerances are rigorously controlled at +0.06 inch, -0.0 inch (+1.5mm, -0.0mm), ensuring precise fitting;
(2). For NPS sizes 1/2 through 3, Class 400 flanges are unavailable, necessitating the use of Class 600, which provides enhanced durability and reliability;
(3). For NPS sizes 1/2 through 2-1/2, Class 600 flanges do not exist, requiring the use of Class 1500 for superior strength and performance;
(4). Class 2500 is unavailable for NPS sizes 14 and larger, highlighting the need for alternative solutions for larger sizes.
