Double Jacketed Gasket
Our exquisitely crafted metal jacketed gaskets are a masterpiece of engineering, featuring a robust thin metallic outer shell that gently cradles a resilient filler material. This cutting-edge design ensures unparalleled protection for the filler, delivering exceptional resistance against pressure, temperature, and corrosion. Each gasket is meticulously handmade and available in an extensive variety of shapes and sizes, with a premium selection of metals and fillers. Configurable internal ribs add an extra layer of versatility. These gaskets are essential for heat exchanger applications, though they require smooth flange surfaces and substantial bolt loads to achieve the perfect seal.
Single jacketed gaskets boast an elegantly simple design with a single surface completely enveloped by a metal jacket covering both the OD and ID. They are perfectly suited for narrow flange widths in low-pressure valve and pump applications.
Double jacketed gaskets are ingeniously crafted with a two-piece metal jacket that fully encapsulates the OD, ID, and both sealing surfaces. These gaskets are predominantly used in heat exchanger applications and excel in handling both corrosive and high-temperature environments with ease.
Internal ribs, or pass partition bars, can either be seamlessly integrated or expertly welded, ensuring the primary seal remains uncompromised in both configurations, thus enhancing performance and reliability.
Application
> Heat exchangers
> Gas mains
> Boiler and fues
> Pumps.
> Valve bonnets
Gaskets with straightforward designs are ideal for pipeline flanges and sealing surfaces of internal-combustion machines. Those with intricate shapes are superb for flange covers of heat exchangers and similar applications. Typically, general gaskets cover 10-25 MM in width and 2MM-8MM in thickness, withstanding maximum working pressures of 6-10Mpa, making them extremely versatile and dependable.
Jackets are crafted from a selection of high-quality materials such as soft iron, low carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel, copper, aluminium, brass, titanium, monel, and more, ensuring durability and strength.
The filler options include expanded graphite, ceramic, PTFE, and other resilient materials, providing a tailored solution for various applications.
The gasket thickness tolerance is precisely set at (+0.03 inch., -0.000 inch) (+0.8mm, -0.0mm), ensuring exacting standards and fit.
(1). For gaskets ranging from NPS 1/2 to NPS 24, the outside and inside diameter tolerances are meticulously controlled at +0.06 inch, -0.0 inch (+1.5mm, -0.0mm), guaranteeing precision.
(2). For NPS sizes 1/2 through 3, Class 400 flanges are unavailable, thus requiring the use of Class 600 instead for optimal performance.
(3). For NPS sizes 1/2 through 2-1/2, Class 600 flanges do not exist, necessitating the use of Class 1500 to meet application demands.
(4). Class 2500 is unavailable for NPS sizes 14 and larger, necessitating alternative solutions for these specifications.
