Presenting an exceptional spiral wound gasket meticulously crafted with a robust solid outer and inner ring. To elevate its superior performance, an inner ring has been ingeniously integrated. This addition is conceived to avert the risk of gasket implosion into the pipe during setup, safeguarding the sealing component from extreme conditions and diverse mediums, thereby filling the gap between flanges to shield against erosion and significantly diminishing failure probabilities. Typically, the inner ring mirrors the alloy of the winding, adhering to the DIN 2699 standard which mandates inner rings in all spiral wound gaskets. According to ASME B16.20 standards, inner rings are indispensable for gaskets with PTFE filler and are regarded as crucial for those with graphite fillers. This distinguished profile is optimally utilized in raised and flat-faced flanges. Augmenting radial strength, the external ring adeptly prevents gasket blowout and functions as a compression stop. Generally crafted from carbon steel (either painted or zinc plated for corrosion resistance), the outer ring can also be composed of alloys, catering to applications involving elevated temperatures and more aggressive mediums.
