This innovative addition prevents implosion into the pipe during installation, safeguarding the sealing element from extreme temperatures and harsh mediums. It effectively fills the void between flanges to avert flange erosion and mitigates the risk of failure. Crafted typically from the same alloy as the winding, the inner ring complies with the DIN 2699 (German) standard, and for gaskets with PTFE fillers, aligns with ASME B16.20 standards, essential for graphite fillers. Ideal for raised and flat-faced flanges, the outer guide ring precisely centers the gasket on the flange face, providing enhanced radial strength to avert gasket blowout while serving as a compression stop.
