DOUBLE JACKETED GASKET
Our exquisitely crafted metal jacketed gaskets are engineered with an exceptionally robust, thin metallic outer shell that securely encases a resilient filler material. This state-of-the-art design ensures unparalleled protection for the filler, delivering remarkable resistance to pressure, temperature extremes, and corrosion. Each gasket is meticulously handmade, available in an extensive array of shapes and sizes, featuring a premium selection of metals and fillers. Configurable internal ribs provide additional versatility, making these gaskets indispensable for heat exchanger applications. It is essential that they are paired with precision flange surfaces and high bolt loads to achieve an optimal seal.
Single jacketed gaskets come with one surface and are completely enveloped by a metal jacket covering both the OD and ID. They are the perfect fit for narrow flange widths in low pressure valve and pump applications.
Double jacketed gaskets are ingeniously crafted with a two-piece metal jacket that fully encapsulates the OD, ID, and both sealing surfaces. They are primarily utilized in heat exchanger applications, excelling in handling corrosive and high temperature environments with ease.
Internal ribs, or pass partition bars, can be seamlessly integrated or expertly welded, ensuring the primary seal remains uncompromised whichever configuration is chosen.
APPLICATION
> Heat exchangers
> Gas mains
> Boilers and fuses
> Pumps.
> Valve bonnets
Gaskets with straightforward designs are ideal for pipeline flanges and sealing surfaces of internal-combustion machines. Those with intricate shapes excel in the flange covers of heat exchangers and similar applications. Typically, general gaskets span 10-25 MM in width and 2MM-8MM in thickness, capable of withstanding maximum working pressures of 6-10Mpa. This makes them exceptionally versatile and reliably robust.
Jackets are crafted from a selection of high-quality materials including soft iron, low carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel, copper, aluminium, brass, titanium, monel, and more, ensuring superior durability and performance.
The filler options available include expanded graphite, ceramic, PTFE, and other resilient materials, providing exceptional adaptability for various applications.
The gasket thickness tolerance is precisely set at (+0.03 inch, -0.000 inch) (+0.8mm, -0.0mm), ensuring that each gasket adheres to exacting standards of quality.
(1). For gaskets ranging from NPS 1/2 to NPS 24, the outside and inside diameter tolerances are meticulously controlled at +0.06 inch, -0.0 inch (+1.5mm, -0.0mm);
(2). For NPS sizes 1/2 through 3, Class 400 flanges are not available, necessitating the use of Class 600 instead;
(3). For NPS sizes 1/2 through 2-1/2, Class 600 flanges do not exist, requiring the utilization of Class 1500;
(4). Class 2500 is unavailable for NPS sizes 14 and larger.
