DOUBLE JACKETED GASKET
Our metal jacketed gaskets are meticulously crafted with a robust metallic outer shell that shelters a highly resilient filler material. This innovative design provides exceptional protection against pressure, extreme temperatures, and corrosive environments. Each gasket is expertly handmade and can be customized in a myriad of shapes and sizes, utilizing a diverse selection of metals and fillers. With the option for internal ribs of any configuration, these gaskets are ideally suited for heat exchanger applications. Achieving an impeccable seal requires evenly matched flange surfaces and optimal bolt loads.
Single jacketed gaskets are ingeniously engineered to have one surface, with both the outer diameter (OD) and inner diameter (ID) enveloped in a durable metal jacket. They are perfect for applications that involve narrow flange widths, particularly in low-pressure valve or pump scenarios.
Double jacketed gaskets feature comprehensive enclosure within a two-piece metal jacket, protecting the OD, ID, and both sealing surfaces. These gaskets are the gold standard for heat exchanger applications, offering exceptional performance in corrosive and high-temperature environments.
Internal ribs, or pass partition bars, can either be integral or welded. In both configurations, the primary seal remains steadfast, ensuring reliable performance.
APPLICATION
> Heat exchangers
> Gas mains
> Boiler and fues
> Pumps.
> Valve bonnets
For simple-shaped gaskets, they are primarily used in pipeline flange and sealing surfaces of internal-combustion engines. More complex shapes find their niche in the flange covers of heat exchangers, among other applications. These versatile gaskets typically range from 10-25 MM in width and 2-8 MM in thickness, capable of withstanding a maximum working pressure of 6-10Mpa.
Jackets: Crafted from an array of materials including soft iron, low carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel, copper, aluminum, brass, titanium, and monel, ensuring unparalleled versatility and durability.
Filler: A wide selection of filler materials such as expanded graphite, ceramic, and PTFE, each chosen for its unique properties to meet diverse application needs.
The gasket thickness tolerance is precisely maintained at (+0.03 inch., -0.000 inch) (+0.8mm, -0.0mm), ensuring consistent performance and reliability.
(1). For gaskets NPS 1/2 through NPS 24, the tolerance for the outside and inside diameter is maintained at +0.06 inch, -0.0 inch (+1.5mm, -0.0mm); ensuring a perfect fit every time.
(2). Note that there are no Class 400 flanges available for NPS 1/2 through NPS 3; it is recommended to use Class 600 for these sizes.
(3). Additionally, there are no Class 600 flanges for NPS 1/2 through NPS 2-1/2; opt for Class 1500 in these cases.
(4). Be aware that Class 2500 flanges are not available for NPS 14 and larger, ensuring you're choosing the correct class for your requirements.
