DOUBLE JACKETED GASKET
Crafted with precision, metal jacketed gaskets feature a robust metallic outer shell that encapsulates a resilient filler. This durable metal case offers excellent resistance against pressure, temperature, and corrosion, making it versatile for various applications. Handcrafted to perfection, these gaskets are available in diverse shapes and sizes, with a broad selection of metals and fillers, including customizable internal ribs. Widely utilized in heat exchanger applications, these gaskets ensure a reliable seal when paired with well-maintained flange surfaces and high bolt loads.
For applications involving low pressure valves and pumps, single jacketed gaskets offer exceptional performance. These gaskets feature a single surface with both the outer and inner diameters encased in a metal jacket, ideal for narrow flange widths.
Double jacketed gaskets, with a two-piece metal jacket enclosing OD, ID, and both sealing surfaces, are ideal for tackling corrosive and high-temperature environments. Their widespread use in heat exchanger applications speaks to their unmatched reliability and performance.
Internal ribs, or pass partition bars, are expertly designed to be either integral or welded, ensuring the primary seal remains uncompromised in both configurations.
APPLICATION
> Heat exchangers
> Gas mains
> Boiler and fuels
> Pumps.
> Valve bonnets
Gaskets with simple configurations are commonly applied to pipeline flanges and internal-combustion machine sealing surfaces. Meanwhile, more complex shapes are suited for the flange covers of heat exchangers. Standard gaskets come in widths of 10-25 MM and thicknesses of 2MM-8MM, capable of withstanding maximum working pressures of 6-10Mpa.
Jackets: Choose from a diverse array of materials including soft iron, low carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel, copper, aluminium, brass, titanium, monel, and more.
Filler: Options include expanded graphite, ceramic, PTFE, and other resilient materials.
The gasket thickness is precisely controlled to a tolerance of (+0.03 inch, -0.000 inch) (+0.8mm, -0.0mm) ensuring optimal performance.
(1). For gaskets ranging from NPS 1/2 through NPS 24, the outside and inside diameter hold a strict tolerance of +0.06 inch, -0.0 inch (+1.5mm, -0.0mm), ensuring precision in every application.
(2). Please note, Class 400 flanges are unavailable for NPS 1/2 through NPS 3. In these cases, Class 600 should be utilized.
(3). For NPS 1/2 through NPS 2-1/2, Class 600 flanges are not provided; instead, use Class 1500 for superior results.
(4). Note that for NPS 14 and larger, Class 2500 is unavailable, guiding you towards the optimal choice for your needs.
