DOUBLE JACKETED GASKET
Our meticulously crafted metal jacketed gaskets are engineered with a durable thin metallic outer layer that encases a resilient filler material. This innovative design ensures the utmost protection for the filler, providing outstanding resistance to pressure, temperature, and corrosion. Each gasket is expertly handmade and available in an extensive range of shapes and sizes, featuring a premium selection of metals and fillers. Configurable internal ribs add additional flexibility, making these gaskets indispensable for heat exchanger applications. Precision flange surfaces and high bolt loads are required to achieve an optimal seal.
Single jacketed gaskets feature one surface completely enveloped by a metal jacket covering both the OD and ID. They are perfect for narrow flange widths in low-pressure valve and pump applications.
Double jacketed gaskets are ingeniously crafted with a two-piece metal jacket that fully encapsulates the OD, ID, and both sealing surfaces. Predominantly used in heat exchanger applications, they are adept at handling corrosive and high-temperature environments.
Internal ribs, or pass partition bars, can be seamlessly integrated or expertly welded, ensuring the primary seal remains uncompromised across all configurations.
APPLICATION
> Heat exchangers
> Gas mains
> Boiler and fuels
> Pumps
> Valve bonnets
Gaskets with straightforward designs are perfect for pipeline flanges and the sealing surfaces of internal combustion machines. Those with complex shapes excel in flange covers for heat exchangers and similar applications. Typically, general gaskets have a width of 10-25 MM and a thickness of 2MM-8MM, capable of withstanding maximum working pressures of 6-10Mpa, ensuring versatility and reliability.
Jackets are skillfully crafted from a selection of high-quality materials, including soft iron, low carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel, copper, aluminium, brass, titanium, monel, and more.
The filler options encompass expanded graphite, ceramic, PTFE, and other resilient materials, each chosen for their superior performance.
The gasket thickness tolerance is precisely set at (+0.03 inch, -0.000 inch) (+0.8mm, -0.0mm), adhering to the most exacting standards.
(1). For gaskets ranging from NPS 1/2 to NPS 24, the outside and inside diameter tolerances are meticulously controlled at +0.06 inch, -0.0 inch (+1.5mm, -0.0mm).
(2). For NPS sizes 1/2 through 3, Class 400 flanges are unavailable, necessitating the use of Class 600 instead.
(3). For NPS sizes 1/2 through 2-1/2, Class 600 flanges do not exist, making it necessary to use Class 1500.
(4). Class 2500 is unavailable for NPS sizes 14 and larger.
