DOUBLE JACKETED GASKET
Our metal jacketed gaskets are expertly crafted, featuring a robust thin metallic outer shell that encases a highly resilient filler material. This ingenious design ensures protection against pressure, extreme temperatures, and corrosion. Each gasket is meticulously handmade, offering a variety of shapes and sizes, with customizable metals and fillers to meet the diverse demands of industrial applications. Internal ribs can be tailored to any configuration, enhancing their versatility. These gaskets excel in heat exchanger environments, though they necessitate uniform flange surfaces and substantial bolt loads for optimal sealing.
Single jacketed gaskets are designed with one surface where both the outer and inner diameters are encapsulated by a strong metal jacket. Ideal for applications in narrow flange widths, particularly in low-pressure valves and pump systems.
Double jacketed gaskets boast a complete enclosure with a two-piece metal jacket that covers the outer diameter, inner diameter, and both sealing surfaces. These are extensively utilized in heat exchanger settings, and they are adept at handling corrosive substances and high-temperature conditions.
The internal ribs, known as pass partition bars, can be either integral or precisely welded, ensuring the primary seal remains intact and reliable in both scenarios.
Versatile Applications
> Perfect for use in heat exchangers
> Critical for gas mains
> Essential for boiler and fuse operations
> Ideal for pump systems
> Integral to valve bonnet functions
Gaskets with simple shapes are seamlessly applied to pipeline flanges and sealing surfaces of internal-combustion machines. Intricately shaped gaskets are invaluable in the flange covers of heat exchangers, among other uses. Typically, these gaskets measure 10-25 MM in width and 2 MM-8 MM in thickness, capable of withstanding maximum working pressures of 6-10 Mpa.
Jackets crafted from soft iron, low carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel, copper, aluminium, brass, titanium, monel, and more.
Fillers composed of expanded graphite, ceramic, PTFE, and other durable materials.
The gasket thickness is precisely controlled with a tolerance of (+0.03 inch, -0.000 inch) (+0.8mm, -0.0mm).
(1). For gaskets sized NPS 1/2 to NPS 24, the outside and inside diameter tolerances are +0.06 inch, -0.0 inch (+1.5mm, -0.0mm);
(2). No Class 400 flanges for NPS 1/2 to NPS 3 are available (opt for Class 600 instead);
(3). No Class 600 flanges for NPS 1/2 to NPS 2-1/2 are available (opt for Class 1500 instead);
(4). NPS 14 and larger do not include Class 2500 flanges.
