DOUBLE JACKETED GASKET
Metal jacketed gaskets are ingeniously crafted with a slender metallic outer shell that enfolds a durable, resilient filler material. This robust metal casing not only shields the filler but excels in withstanding immense pressure, extreme temperatures, and harsh corrosive environments. Each gasket is meticulously handmade, available in a myriad of shapes and sizes, offering a diverse selection of metals and fillers tailored to your needs. Internal ribs can be configured in numerous styles. Primarily employed in heat exchanger applications, these gaskets require precisely even flange surfaces and substantial bolt loading to achieve an impeccable seal.
Single jacketed gaskets feature a single surface with both the outer diameter (OD) and inner diameter (ID) enveloped by a sturdy metal jacket. These are perfect for low-pressure valve and pump applications where narrow flange widths are predominant.
Double jacketed gaskets are fully encapsulated by a sophisticated two-piece metal jacket, covering the OD, ID, and both sealing surfaces. These are extensively utilized in heat exchanger applications and are ideal for environments with corrosive elements and high temperatures.
Internal ribs, also known as pass partition bars, may be integral or welded. In both configurations, the integrity of the primary seal is reliably maintained, ensuring superior performance.
APPLICATION
> Heat exchangers
> Gas mains
> Boiler and fues
> Pumps.
> Valve bonnets
Gaskets with simple shapes are suited for pipeline flanges and internal-combustion machine sealing surfaces, while those with complex designs are perfect for heat exchanger flange covers. These versatile gaskets range from 10-25 MM in width and 2MM-8MM in thickness, capable of handling work pressures up to 6-10 Mpa.
Jackets: Choose from a versatile array, including soft iron, low carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel, copper, aluminum, brass, titanium, monel, and more.
Filler: Options include expanded graphite, ceramic, and PTFE, each chosen for specific application needs.
The gasket thickness maintains a precise tolerance of (+0.03 inch., -0.000 inch) (+0.8mm, -0.0mm), ensuring perfect fitment.
(1). For gaskets ranging from NPS 1/2 through NPS 24, the outside and inside diameter tolerances are meticulously controlled at +0.06 inch, -0.0 inch (+1.5mm, -0.0mm);
(2). Note, there are no Class 400 flanges for NPS 1/2 through NPS 3 (opt for Class 600);
(3). Similarly, there are no Class 600 flanges available for NPS 1/2 through NPS 2-1/2 (opt for Class 1500);
(4). Additionally, Class 2500 is unavailable for NPS 14 and larger, ensuring proper selection is adhered to.
