The ASME B16.20 XINSEN Metal Spiral Wound, Semi-Metallic, Spiral Gasket is designed for unparalleled sealing efficiency and durability. Featuring a robust outer and inner ring, this cutting-edge gasket incorporates an internal ring to significantly boost performance. This innovative design prevents the gasket from collapsing into the pipe during installation, protects the sealing element from harsh temperatures and substances, occupies the void between flanges to avert erosion, and decreases the likelihood of failure. Inner rings, usually fabricated from the same alloy as the winding, are essential for enhanced protection and performance, especially with PTFE fillers as per ASME B16.20 standards and are recommended for graphite fillers. The DIN 2699 standard mandates inner rings for all spiral wound gaskets. Particularly suitable for raised and flat faced flanges, the external guide ring ensures perfect gasket centering on the flange face, provides extra radial strength to avert blowouts, and serves as a compression stop. Typically crafted from carbon steel (with anti-corrosive painting or zinc plating), the outer ring can also be made from alloys for high-temperature and severe medium applications.
