We've innovatively inserted an inner ring to significantly boost gasket performance by accurately centering it on the flange face. This inner ring not only prevents implosion into the pipe during installation but also shields the sealing element from extreme conditions and aggressive mediums. It effectively fills the flange void to thwart erosion and drastically minimizes failure risks. Typically matching the alloy of the winding, the inner ring adheres to the DIN 2699 standards, ensuring excellence in all spiral wound gaskets. For gaskets with PTFE fillers per ASME B16.20 standards, and graphite fillers, the inner ring is indispensable. Our design excels with raised and flat-faced flanges. The external guide ring, offering added radial strength, safeguards against gasket blowout and functions as a compression stop. Commonly crafted from carbon steel with protective finishes, the outer ring can also be made of high-performance alloys for challenging environments and elevated temperatures.
