DOUBLE JACKETED GASKET
Crafted with precision and expertise, metal jacketed gaskets feature a slender metallic outer layer that encases a resilient filler, offering unparalleled protection against pressure, temperature, and corrosion. These handcrafted gaskets come in a myriad of shapes and sizes, with a diverse selection of metals and fillers to suit your specific needs. The internal ribs can be customized to any configuration, ensuring a perfect fit. Ideal for heat exchanger applications, these gaskets demand smooth, even flange surfaces and high bolt loads to ensure a flawless seal.
Single jacketed gaskets are designed with a single metal-coated surface that wraps both the outer and inner diameters. Perfectly engineered for narrow flange widths, these gaskets excel in low-pressure applications within valves and pumps.
Double jacketed gaskets offer comprehensive protection with a dual-layer metal covering that shields the outer and inner diameters, along with both sealing surfaces. These gaskets are the go-to choice for heat exchanger applications, adeptly handling corrosive environments and high-temperature services.
The internal ribs, or pass partition bars, whether integrated or welded, ensure the primary seal is consistently maintained without compromise.
APPLICATION
> Heat exchangers
> Gas mains
> Boiler and fumes
> Pumps.
> Valve bonnets
Gaskets with straightforward designs find their place in pipeline flanges and the sealing surfaces of internal-combustion machines. More intricately designed gaskets are expertly utilized in the flange covers of heat exchangers. Generally, these gaskets span 10-25 MM in width and 2MM-8MM in thickness, capable of withstanding a maximum working pressure of 6-10Mpa.
Jackets: Options include soft iron, low carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel, copper, aluminium, brass, titanium, monel, and more.
Filler: Choose from expanded graphite, ceramic, PTFE, and other high-performance materials.
The gasket thickness tolerance is carefully controlled at (+0.03 inch., -0.000 inch) (+0.8mm, -0.0mm) to ensure precision and reliability.
(1). For gaskets ranging from NPS 1/2 to NPS 24, the tolerances for both outside and inside diameters are set at +0.06 inch, -0.0 inch (+1.5mm, -0.0mm), ensuring exacting standards.
(2). Class 400 flanges are unavailable for NPS 1/2 through NPS 3; substitute with Class 600 for optimal performance.
(3). Class 600 flanges are not available for NPS 1/2 through NPS 2-1/2; instead, employ Class 1500 for superior results.
(4). Note that Class 2500 is not applicable for NPS 14 and larger sizes.
