The innovative external guide ring ensures precise centering on the flange face, while the inner ring serves as a vital component, preventing the gasket from collapsing into the pipe during installation. It also shields the sealing element from harsh temperatures and mediums, fills gaps between flanges to avert flange erosion, and reduces failure risks. Crafted from the same elite alloy as the winding, the inner ring aligns with the DIN 2699 standard for all spiral wound gaskets. ASME B16.20 standards demand these inner rings for PTFE fillers and recommend them for graphite fillers. This remarkable profile is ideally suited for both raised and flat-faced flanges. Meanwhile, the outer ring delivers added radial strength to avert gasket blowouts and functions as a crucial compression stop.
