DOUBLE JACKETED GASKET
Our expertly crafted metal jacketed gaskets showcase a high-strength metallic outer layer enveloping a durable filler. This cutting-edge design maximizes filler protection, providing unparalleled resistance against pressure, extreme temperatures, and corrosion. Each gasket is crafted with precision, offered in a variety of shapes and sizes, and features a selection of top-quality metals and fillers. Customizable internal ribs add further adaptability. These gaskets are essential for heat exchanger applications, although they necessitate precise flange surfaces and substantial bolt loads for an optimal seal.
Single jacketed gaskets have one surface and are entirely encased in a metal jacket, covering both the OD and ID. They are perfect for narrow flange widths, making them ideal for low-pressure valve and pump applications.
Double jacketed gaskets boast a sophisticated two-piece metal jacket that fully encloses the OD, ID, and both sealing surfaces. They are mainly used in heat exchanger applications and excel in managing corrosive and high-temperature environments.
Internal ribs, or pass partition bars, can be effortlessly integrated or precisely welded, ensuring the primary seal remains intact in both configurations.
APPLICATIONS
> Heat exchangers
> Gas mains
> Boilers and flues
> Pumps
> Valve bonnets
Gaskets with simple designs are ideal for pipeline flanges and sealing surfaces of internal-combustion machines. Those with complex shapes are outstanding for the flange covers of heat exchangers and similar scenarios. Generally, these gaskets range from 10-25 MM in width and 2MM-8MM in thickness, and can handle maximum working pressures of 6-10Mpa, highlighting their versatility and dependability.
Jackets are meticulously crafted from a choice of high-grade materials, including soft iron, low carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel, copper, aluminium, brass, titanium, monel, and more.
Available filler options include expanded graphite, ceramic, PTFE, and other robust materials.
The gasket thickness tolerance is finely set at (+0.03 inch., -0.000 inch) (+0.8mm, -0.0mm), maintaining exacting standards.
(1). For gaskets from NPS 1/2 to NPS 24, the outside and inside diameter tolerances are carefully controlled at +0.06 inch, -0.0 inch (+1.5mm, -0.0mm);
(2). For NPS sizes 1/2 through 3, Class 400 flanges aren't available, requiring Class 600;
(3). For NPS sizes 1/2 through 2-1/2, Class 600 flanges don't exist, necessitating Class 1500;
(4). Class 2500 is not available for NPS sizes 14 and larger.
