It also minimizes the risk of failure. Typically, the inner ring is crafted from the same alloy as the winding, conforming to the stringent DIN 2699 standard, which mandates inner rings in all spiral wound gaskets. In compliance with ASME B16.20 standards, inner rings are essential for gaskets with PTFE filler and are highly recommended for those with graphite fillers.
