DOUBLE JACKETED GASKET
Our high-performance metal jacketed gaskets feature a meticulously designed thin metallic outer shell encasing a resilient filler material. This innovative design offers exceptional protection for the filler, ensuring formidable resistance to pressure, elevated temperatures, and corrosive environments. Handcrafted with precision, these versatile gaskets are available in a wide range of shapes and sizes, complemented by an extensive selection of metals and fillers to cater to diverse applications. With internal ribs customizable to any configuration, these gaskets are indispensable in heat exchanger applications. They necessitate uniform flange surfaces and substantial bolt loads to guarantee an airtight seal.
Single jacketed gaskets are expertly crafted to cover one surface along with both the outer diameter (OD) and inner diameter (ID) using a robust metal jacket. Perfectly suitable for applications involving narrow flange widths, these gaskets excel in low-pressure settings such as valve and pump applications, providing reliable sealing performance.
Double jacketed gaskets boast full enclosure by a two-piece metal jacket that envelops the OD, ID, and both sealing surfaces. Their design is ideal for demanding heat exchanger applications and is well-suited for environments with corrosive and high-temperature conditions.
The internal ribs, also known as pass partition bars, are crafted with either integral or welded constructions. In both designs, the primary seal is assured and maintained with integrity, offering secure and reliable performance.
APPLICATION
> Heat exchangers
> Gas mains
> Boilers and fumes
> Pumps
> Valve bonnets
Gaskets with simpler shapes are ideal for pipeline flange applications and sealing surfaces of internal-combustion machines. Conversely, those with more intricate shapes are specifically designed for flange covers of heat exchangers, among other uses. Generally, these gaskets measure 10-25 MM in width and 2MM-8MM in thickness, accommodating a maximum work pressure range of 6 to 10Mpa.
Jackets are available in an array of materials including soft iron, low carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel, copper, aluminum, brass, titanium, monel, and more.
Filler materials include expanded graphite, ceramic, PTFE, among others, offering versatility and resilience for various applications.
Our gasket thickness adheres to a precise tolerance of (+0.03 inch, -0.000 inch) or (+0.8mm, -0.0mm), ensuring a perfect fit and reliable sealing.
(1). For gaskets ranging from NPS 1/2 through NPS 24, the outside and inside diameter tolerances are maintained at +0.06 inch, -0.0 inch (+1.5mm, -0.0mm).
(2). There are no Class 400 flanges available for NPS 1/2 through NPS 3, requiring the use of Class 600 instead.
(3). For gaskets NPS 1/2 through NPS 2-1/2, there are no Class 600 flanges; instead, Class 1500 should be utilized.
(4). Class 2500 is not available for NPS 14 and larger sizes.
