Our Virgin Grade PTFE Gaskets are meticulously crafted from 100% pure materials, making them the ideal choice for a wide range of general applications. They boast an incredibly soft and formable nature, providing the perfect solution for chemical-resistant seals and gaskets.
These gaskets are manufactured directly from the resin producer, ensuring they have never been shaped or processed beforehand. As a result, they offer unparalleled physical and electrical insulation properties and exhibit superior resistance to creep (compression) under load. Virgin Grade PTFE is easily identified by its pristine white color, distinguishing it from mechanical grade PTFE.
Crafted from synthetic fluoropolymer of tetrafluoroethylene, PTFE gaskets consist entirely of carbon and fluorine. They are naturally hydrophobic, effectively repelling water and substances containing water, and are known for possessing one of the lowest friction coefficients against any solid material.
PTFE showcases exceptional dielectric properties and provides outstanding thermal insulation across a broad operational temperature range of -200°C to 260°C. Recognized as the most chemically resistant plastic, PTFE remains unaffected by the majority of corrosive liquids, vapors, and gases.
