Features:

This exceptional spiral wound gasket comes equipped with a robust outer and inner ring. The meticulously inserted inner ring not only amplifies gasket performance but also ensures precise centering on the flange face. Additionally, it averts any risk of the gasket collapsing into the pipe during installation, offers protection against extreme temperatures and aggressive media, fills the void between flanges to prevent flange erosion, and significantly diminishes the chance of failure. Constructed typically from the same alloy as the winding, the inner ring adheres to the DIN 2699 standard (German), which mandates inner rings in all spiral wound gaskets. According to ASME B16.20 standards, inner rings are essential for gaskets with PTFE filler and are deemed crucial for those with graphite fillers. This design is ideally suited for raised and flat faced flanges. The outer ring, often made from carbon steel (either painted or zinc plated to prevent corrosion), or alloys for higher temperature and severe medium applications, provides additional radial strength to thwart gasket blowout and acts as a compression stop.
