DOUBLE JACKETED GASKET
Crafted with precision, metal jacketed gaskets feature a delicate metallic outer shell encasing a resilient filler core. This robust metal layer not only shields the inner filler but also ensures superior resistance against pressure, temperature, and corrosion. Each metal jacketed gasket is meticulously handmade, available in various shapes and sizes, and offered with a diverse range of metals and fillers. These gaskets are essential in heat exchanger applications, necessitating flawless flange surfaces and substantial bolt loads to achieve an effective seal.
Single jacketed gaskets are designed with one surface and both outer and inner diameters covered by a sturdy metal jacket, making them ideal for low-pressure valve and pump applications with narrow flange widths.
Double jacketed gaskets are expertly crafted with a complete enclosure of a dual metal jacket, covering the outer diameter, inner diameter, and both sealing surfaces. These gaskets are extensively utilized in heat exchanger applications and are apt for high-temperature and corrosive environments.
Internal ribs, or pass partition bars, can be skillfully integrated or welded, ensuring that the primary seal remains reliably intact in both configurations.
APPLICATION
> Heat exchangers
> Gas mains
> Boilers and fuses
> Pumps
> Valve bonnets
Gaskets with simpler shapes are ideal for pipeline flange sealing and internal combustion machine surfaces. Those with intricate designs are suited for the flange covers of heat exchangers, etc. Typically, these gaskets measure 10-25 MM in width and 2-8 MM in thickness, capable of withstanding a maximum working pressure of 6-10 Mpa.
Jackets: Available in a variety of metals including soft iron, low carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel, copper, aluminium, brass, titanium, and monel.
Filler: Composed of top-quality materials like expanded graphite, ceramic, and PTFE.
The gasket thickness maintains a precise tolerance of (+0.03 inch, -0.000 inch) or (+0.8mm, -0.0mm).
(1). For gaskets NPS 1/2 through NPS 24, the outside and inside diameter tolerances are strictly +0.06 inch, -0.0 inch (+1.5mm, -0.0mm);
(2). Note: There are no Class 400 flanges for NPS 1/2 through NPS 3. Use Class 600 instead.
(3). Note: There are no Class 600 flanges for NPS 1/2 through NPS 2-1/2. Opt for Class 1500.
(4). Note: There are no Class 2500 for NPS 14 and larger sizes.
