As the gasket is 'crushed' into the flange, a robust seal is formed by filling any imperfections and potential leak paths with the gasket material. Although the gasket deforms under high sealing stress, the integrity of the flange remains intact. These gaskets are mostly employed in the petrochemical industry, notably on offshore oil platforms and refineries, where high service pressures are a standard requirement. Each Ring Joint Gasket is precision-engineered and meticulously machined to meet exacting standards of tight tolerances according to ASME B16.20 and API 6A specifications.
