DOUBLE JACKETED GASKET
Our exquisitely crafted metal jacketed gaskets are a testament to precision engineering. Encased within a robust thin metallic outer shell is a resilient filler material; this innovative combination ensures maximum protection for the filler, offering unparalleled resistance to pressure, temperature, and corrosion. Every gasket is meticulously handmade and available in a wide array of shapes and sizes, each crafted from a premium selection of metals and fillers. Configurable internal ribs add versatility to this masterful design. These gaskets are indispensable for heat exchanger applications, demanding precision flange surfaces and high bolt loads for an impeccable seal.
Single jacketed gaskets are characterized by a single surface, fully enveloped by a metal jacket covering both the outer diameter (OD) and inner diameter (ID). Ideal for narrow flange widths, they are perfectly suited for low-pressure valve and pump applications.
Double jacketed gaskets are ingeniously engineered with a two-piece metal jacket that entirely encapsulates the OD, ID, and both sealing surfaces. Predominantly used in heat exchanger applications, they excel in handling corrosive and high-temperature environments.
Internal ribs, or pass partition bars, can be seamlessly integrated or expertly welded into the gasket design. This ensures that the primary seal remains uncompromised, no matter the configuration.
APPLICATION
> Heat exchangers
> Gas mains
> Boiler and fues
> Pumps.
> Valve bonnets
Gaskets with straightforward designs are perfectly suited for pipeline flanges and the sealing surfaces of internal-combustion machines. Those with intricate shapes excel when used in flange covers for heat exchangers and similar applications. Typically, general gaskets span 10-25 MM in width and 2MM-8MM in thickness, capable of withstanding maximum working pressures of 6-10Mpa, thus ensuring versatility and reliability.
Jackets are crafted from a premium selection of high-quality materials, including soft iron, low carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel, copper, aluminium, brass, titanium, monel, and more.
The selection of filler options includes expanded graphite, ceramic, PTFE, and other resilient materials, ensuring adaptability to various operational conditions.
The gasket thickness tolerance is precisely set at (+0.03 inch, -0.000 inch) (+0.8mm, -0.0mm), maintaining exacting quality standards.
(1). For gaskets ranging from NPS 1/2 to NPS 24, the outside and inside diameter tolerances are meticulously controlled at +0.06 inch, -0.0 inch (+1.5mm, -0.0mm);
(2). For NPS sizes 1/2 through 3, Class 400 flanges are unavailable, necessitating the use of Class 600 flanges instead;
(3). For NPS sizes 1/2 through 2-1/2, Class 600 flanges are replaced by Class 1500 due to unavailability;
(4). Class 2500 flanges are not available for NPS sizes 14 and larger.
