Typically crafted from the same alloy as the winding, the inner ring complies with the stringent DIN 2699 standard (German), mandating inner rings for all spiral wound gaskets. According to ASME B16.20 standards, inner rings are crucial for gaskets with PTFE fillers and highly recommended for graphite fillers.
