DOUBLE JACKETED GASKET
Crafted with precision, metal jacketed gaskets feature a robust metallic outer shell encasing a resilient filler material. This design ensures the gaskets are shielded from pressure, temperature fluctuations, and corrosion. Handcrafted with meticulous care, these gaskets come in an array of shapes and sizes, offering a variety of metal and filler combinations. A range of internal rib configurations is available to suit specific needs. These exceptional gaskets are predominantly utilized in heat exchanger applications, demanding a flawless and even flange surface combined with significant bolt loads for optimal sealing efficiency.
Single jacketed gaskets are designed with a single metal surface, covering both the outer and inner diameters. Perfectly suited for narrow flange widths in low-pressure valve and pump applications.
Double jacketed gaskets are fully encapsulated with a two-piece metal jacket, enveloping the outer diameter, inner diameter, and both sealing surfaces. They are extensively applied in heat exchanger applications, offering excellent performance in corrosive and high-temperature environments.
Internal ribs, or pass partition bars, can be either integral or welded. In both configurations, the primary seal remains securely intact, ensuring consistent sealing integrity.
APPLICATION
> Heat exchangers
> Gas mains
> Boilers and fuses
> Pumps.
> Valve bonnets
Gaskets with straightforward designs are typically used in pipeline flanges and on the sealing surfaces of internal-combustion machines. Conversely, those with more complex shapes are ideal for heat exchanger flange covers. These versatile gaskets generally measure 10-25 MM in width and 2MM-8MM in thickness, and can withstand maximum working pressures ranging from 6-10Mpa.
Jackets: Crafted from soft iron, low carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel, copper, aluminum, brass, titanium, monel, and more.
Filler: Composed of expanded graphite, ceramic, PTFE, among other materials.
The gasket thickness tolerance is meticulously maintained at (+0.03 inch, -0.000 inch) (+0.8mm, -0.0mm)
(1). For gaskets NPS 1/2 through NPS 24, the outside and inside diameter tolerances are precisely set at +0.06 inch, -0.0 inch (+1.5mm, -0.0mm);
(2). Note that there are no Class 400 flanges available for NPS 1/2 through NPS 3 (Use Class 600 as an alternative);
(3). It should be noted that Class 600 flanges are unavailable for NPS 1/2 through NPS 2-1/2 (Use Class 1500 instead);
(4). Be aware that Class 2500 NPS 14 and larger are not available.
