Single jacketed gaskets boast an exterior where one surface and both OD and ID are stylishly enveloped by a sleek metal jacket. Perfectly designed for narrow flange widths, they excel in low-pressure valve and pump applications.
Double jacketed gaskets are masterfully crafted with a two-piece metal jacket that entirely covers the OD, ID, and both sealing surfaces. Gaskets with straightforward shapes are utilized in pipeline flanges and sealing surfaces of internal-combustion machines, while more complex shapes are applied in the flange covers of heat exchangers, and other advanced applications. Typical dimensions range from 10-25 MM in width and 2MM-8MM in thickness, capable of withstanding maximum working pressures of 6-10Mpa.
Jackets: Choose from an extensive selection, including soft iron, low carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel, copper, aluminium, brass, titanium, monel, and more.
Filler: Options include expanded graphite, ceramic, PTFE, among others.
The gasket thickness adheres to precise tolerances of (+0.03 inch., -0.000 inch) (+0.8mm, -0.0mm), ensuring the highest quality fit.
(1). For gaskets ranging from NPS 1/2 to NPS 24, the outside and inside diameter tolerances are meticulously controlled at +0.06 inch, -0.0 inch (+1.5mm, -0.0mm).
(2). Note: There are no Class 400 flanges available for NPS 1/2 through NPS 3. Instead, use Class 600.
(3). Be aware that there are no Class 600 flanges for NPS 1/2 through NPS 2-1/2, prompting the use of Class 1500.
(4). It is important to note the absence of Class 2500 flanges for NPS 14 and larger sizes.
