This exceptional spiral wound gasket features a robust solid outer and inner ring. For enhanced performance, an inner ring is added to accurately center the gasket on the flange face, protecting the sealing element from extreme conditions and preventing erosion between flanges. The inner ring, crafted from the same alloy as the winding, adheres to DIN 2699 standards, ensuring maximum durability and reliability. ASME B16.20 standards require inner rings for gaskets with PTFE and highly recommend them for graphite fillers. This premium design is ideal for both raised and flat faced flanges. The external guide ring offers additional radial strength, preventing gasket blowout and serving as a compression stop. Typically made of carbon steel with anti-corrosive treatments, the outer ring can also be crafted from specialized alloys for high-temperature and severe medium applications.
