The innovative insertion of an inner ring elevates gasket performance by ensuring precise alignment on flange faces, preventing gasket collapse during installation, and shielding the sealing element from extreme conditions. It effectively occupies any flange void to thwart erosion and minimizes the likelihood of gasket failure. Constructed from identical alloy as the winding, the inner ring complies with DIN 2699 standards, mandatory for gaskets with PTFE filler per ASME B16.20 standards, and is advantageous for graphite fillers. Designed for both raised and flat-faced flanges, the gasket features an external guide ring that fortifies radial strength, mitigating blowout risks and serving as a compression limiter. Typically made of carbon steel, the outer ring is available in painted or zinc-plated versions to combat corrosion, or in high-performance alloys to withstand greater temperatures and challenging environments.
